The Kingston Chamber of Commerce was established in 1905 by the mayor of Kingston, the local newspaper, and the famous Bentalls. Kingston was also the UK’s first Business Improvement District, has a Growth Consultancy and a University Business School.

Kingston was a major military aircraft manufacturing centre specialising in fighter aircraft, which included the Hurricane, Harrier Jump Jet and later, British Aerospace. The Rose Theatre is the largest production producing theatre in South West London and is modelled on the original Elizabethan Rose Theatre on London's Bankside.

The Kingston area has had its fair share of famous residents over the years: Joss Ackland, Erin Boag, Donald Campbell, Terence Conran, John Cooper, John Inverdale, P.D. James, Debbie McGee, Alec Stewart, Stormzy and Roy Plomley.

BNI Kingston passionately helps the many different sizes and kinds of businesses that prosper in our area, as it is very significant that when a potential customer is looking for your product or service, nothing carries more weight than a recommendation from someone they know well.
